OG Tags Checker

Open Graph (OG) tags are HTML meta tags that control how your page appears when shared on social media. They define the title, description, image, and URL that platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp use to generate link previews.

Social platforms cache OG data. After changing your tags, you need to clear the cache using each platform's debugger tool. This checker provides direct links to Facebook Sharing Debugger, LinkedIn Post Inspector, and Twitter/X Tweet Composer (Twitter retired their Card Validator).

OG tags (og:title, og:image, etc.) are the standard used by most platforms. Twitter Cards (twitter:card, twitter:title, etc.) are Twitter-specific but Twitter will fall back to OG tags if Twitter Card tags are not present. It's best to include both.

Without OG tags, social platforms will try to guess what to show -- often grabbing the wrong image, truncating titles, or showing a generic preview. Proper OG tags give you full control over your social appearance.
